Super Cow

Supercow is a classic platform game, but it is definitely more player-friendly to laid-back players than traditional games in this genre. It is a challenging game, minus the difficulty, and offers a wealth of entertainment for people of all ages. From its country surroundings to the way the enemies are released, it is family fun all the way around.

Supercow's delightful level-to-level story of battles and rescuing cattle is offered through a combination of voiced-over scenes and diary entries. Action takes place through a single game approach as play starts with an objective to discover the exit. Higher level-based goals consist of eliminating the enemies and finding the hidden keys required to open an exit. Luckily, the challenge is not too hard and virtually anyone will have a blast trying to do it.

Supercow, the actual character, is maneuvered using a mouse or keyboard, although using the mouse is easier. The keyboard is better utilized to effectively direct the actions of Supercow. As you progress to each level, the activities are basically restricted somewhat to jumping up or down, moving right or left, and collecting the bonuses as you are releasing Duriarti’s minions.

By the way, wicked critters include a variety of frogs, snails, bats, dogs, spiders, moles, crows, and a couple other wretched varmints. Just hop on their little heads to easily get rid of them. On the other hand, bonuses consist of rings, coins, goblets, gold, lockets, gems, bracelets, nuggets, and more. Gathered goodies contribute to your total points and impact your score obtained in each level. Do you want a better rating? You can get it by simply restarting any of Supercow’s 56 levels if you desire.

Naturally, Supercow can not be considered very super unless it has a couple strategically-placed power-ups. Healthy objects to search for include extra-life hearts, tasty fruits, first-aid kits, and cartons of super milk just to name a few. Besides re-energizing your system following run-ins with Duriarti’s wicked underlings, these add to your total points as well. Additionally, each level has at least one Déjà Vu mushroom, motionless but pleasant fungi that function as middle level save points if Supercow is unfortunately killed by the enemy and loses a life.

Supercow is a super fun distraction for people of all ages with its depth-defying side scrolling, high-end graphics, appealing animations, outstanding cut-scene voiceovers, stellar audio effects, impressive soundtrack, and a big helping of wholesome humor.
